Tony has had extensive experience in the planning, design and specification of electrical building services and of general infrastructure services in various types of buildings both in the UK and overseas.
Before setting up as a freelance consultant, Tony worked for a number of engineering consultancies as well as spending 6 years with Mowlem Construction where he was Principal Electrical Engineer overseeing the design and build requirements for a number of major projects, located both in the UK and overseas.
These projects have included a police training college in Libya, an operational support building for the Hertfordshire Constabulary, educational buildings, data centres, distribution warehouses, hospital buildings, theatres, prisons, high rise residential dwellings, commercial buildings, military facilities, religious buildings, sports complexes, shopping centres and out-of-town retail parks.
In addition, Tony has also assisted The Hampden Consultancy on a number of projects, providing the necessary technical expertise in respect to electrical engineering services. These have included several healthcare projects, including identifying and resolving a number of major technical issues on a recently completed PFI hospital contract.
One particular interest Tony has is in the design of high-efficiency lighting schemes and their control & integration with energy management systems.
Tony has also acted as an expert witness having previously advised both contractors and clients on a number of disputes in connection with electrical engineering services installations.
